Barcelona Contact Xavi Hours After Koeman’s Sack

Barcelona have reportedly contacted legendary midfielder, Xavi Hernandez as the best replacement for Ronald Koeman.

The speculation is coming hours after the Dutchman was relieved of his duty at the Catalan club.

Xavi who is currently managing Qatari side Al-Sadd have won seven trophies in his coaching career.

The former Barca midfielder has played 34 unbeaten league games with his current club.

Koeman’s problem compounded after Barcelona’s surprise loss away to Rayo Vallecano at  Estadio de Vallecas.

Koeman has not won any games with major clubs in the 2021- 2022 season.

They lost at home to Real Madrid, while Atletico beat them 2:0. They have also lost 3:0 to Bayern Munich and Benfica.
