Barcelona Sack Ronald Koeman After Loss To Rayo Vallecano

FC Barcelona have fired head coach Ronald Koeman after the club lost to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

The club was defeated by the home team 1:0 making it the second straight loss after Sunday’s El Clasico.

Koeman lost 2:1 to Real Madrid and had lost 3:0 to Bayern Munich andj Benfica.

They have also lost to rival Atletico Madrid in La Liga. They are currently ninth place in their home league.

Following the latest defeat at Estadio de Vallecas, Joan Laporta, the club’s president told the Barcelona ex-player that his service was no longer needed at Camp Nou.

The club said, “FC Barcelona has relieved Ronald Koeman of his duties as first team coach. The president of the club, Joan Laporta, informed him of the decision after the defeat against Rayo Vallecano. Ronald Koeman will say goodbye to the squad on Thursday at the Ciutat Esportiva.
