On the heels of the resignation of the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Engr Nuhu Gidado, THE WHISTLER looks at other members who resigned from the administration of Bauchi Governor, Mohammed Abubakar from its inception in 2015 to date.

Mr Gidado informed Governor Muhammed Abubakar of his decision to step down in a letter dated May 16.

In the letter, Mr Gidado explained that his decision was based on his commitment to serve for only a single term as deputy governor of the state.

However, reports had it that the former deputy governor’s resignation may have been a fallout with the governor.

Governor Abubakar has since dismissed the report as “false and untrue”, saying his former deputy was fairly treated while in service.

But investigations carried out by THE WHISTLER shows that eight other people have left the Abubakar government for one reason or the other since its inception three years ago.
