Bayelsa Commissioner Kidnapped

Unknown armed men have reportedly abducted the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Otokito Federal Oparmiola.

Oparmiola was abducted after armed men invaded his residence at Otuokpoti in Ogbia Local Government Area of the state.

The assailants had stormed the community at about 11pm on Thursday night and then proceeded to the residence of the victim, Daily Trust reports.

When THE WHISTLER contacted him, the state’s police spokesperson, SP Asinim Butswat, confirmed the incident but gave no further information. He simply responded, “Yes”, adding, “I will get back to you on the rest”.
