Bayelsa Rerun: Sylva’ll Be Humiliated Again – PDP

Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson’s campaign team, the Restoration Campaign Organisation, has said that the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate and former Governor Timipre Sylva, will be humiliated again during the January 9, 2016 rescheduled poll.

The campaign organization which also described the claims by the APC that Dickson had stopped December salaries of civil servants as outright lies and false propaganda, denied buying up voter cards ahead of the rerun election in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state saying, Sylva, would be roundly defeated in the rerun.

A statement issued by the organisation’s Director of Publicity, Jonathan Obuebite, on Monday, said the claims by the APC were vicious propaganda on the part of Sylva to win election by hook or by crook.

The statement described Dickson as “the most civil servant friendly governor who places premium on their welfare and general well-being,” and incapable of taking any false actions against the Bayelsa people.

According to Obuebite, even when other states were owing workers salary for five to eight months and resorting to bail out, Dickson went out of his way to make the much needed sacrifice by cutting down on his personal allowances, including those of his aides and other political appointees just to meet up with the monthly obligations to workers.

Speaking on the alleged purchase of PVCs, the PDP said it was yet another vicious lie and propaganda of the APC.

The PDP emphasized that there is no amount of campaign that would save Sylva from being defeated in the rerun.
