Bayern Munich, Barcelona Book Quarter Final Spots In UEFA Champions League

Bayern Munich secured their quarter final spot in the UEFA Champions League with an emphatic 4-1 trashing of Chelsea at the Alianz Arena in Germany on Saturday.

The German Champions started from where they stopped, having beaten Chelsea in front of their home fan at Stanford Bridge 3-0 back in March before games were halted due to Corona Virus Pandemic.

Prolific Polish striker, Robert Lewandoski opened scores for the Bavarian giants from the penalty spot 10 minutes into the game and later added more to increase his goal tally for Bayern to 53 this season.

Chelsea grabbed their only consolidation minutes before the end of the first half by Tammy Abraham.

At Camp Nuo, Barcelona trashed Napoli 3-1 with the highlight of the game being the individual brilliance of the diminutive Argentine winger who rattled Napoli defenders before scoring a spectacular second goal and was fouled in the penalty box, which Luiz Suarez converted for the Catalan side.

The game was concluded in the first half as all the goals were scored in the half.
