Bayero University Kano Loses Another Professor

Mr. Monsuru Lasun-Eniola, a professor of Physical Health Education at Bayero University, has died.

This was disclosed on Thursday by a senior colleague in the institution,Garba Sheka.

Sheka said that the late professor died on Wednesday and that he was a devoted Muslim.

The cause of his death was not made known.

Many people have died in Kano in recent weeks. But the cause of death remains unknown, although it is suspected that Covid-19 may be responsible.

The tertiary institution had also lost two professors some weeks ago.

On 25 April, Professor Aliyu Dikko of the school’s department of Human physiology, College of Health Sciences, died.

Professor Balarabe Maikaba, who was the former Head of Department, Mass Communication, also died on April 26, after a health challenge.

Again, Sabo Kurawa, a lecturer, at the Department of Sociology died after a protracted illness.

The series of deaths in Kano made the federal government to place the state on total lockdown, so as to ascertain the cause.
