BBNaijaS10: Housemate Bright Morgan’s Manager, Vic Matt, Assassinated In Enugu

The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the assassination of Victor Tobechukwu Okoli, popularly known as Vic Matt, a gospel artist, filmmaker, and manager to Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Bright Morgan.

Vic Matt was reportedly gunned down over the weekend at New Haven, Enugu, by yet-to-be-identified assailants. Details of the attack remain sketchy, but multiple sources confirmed that he was targeted and shot dead.

The tragic news was first made public by filmmaker Ben Cassie, who took to Instagram to mourn his colleague. Cassie described Vic Matt as “a man of high principle and integrity”, adding that his death was a painful loss to the industry.

Beyond his role as Bright Morgan’s manager, Vic Matt was a multi-talented figure in Nigeria’s creative space. He recently released his fourth gospel single, Standing Strong, on July 4, 2025, and ran Vic Matt TV, a YouTube channel with over 371,000 subscribers that focused on Christian-themed Nollywood productions.

His killing has sparked outrage from fans, especially as Enugu has in recent years witnessed a surge in violent crimes ranging from kidnappings to targeted assassinations.

While the motive behind the attack remains unclear, many in the industry have called for an urgent investigation.
