Benzema was accused of encouraging Valbuena to pay a suspected group of blackmailers in order to keep his sex tape out of public eye.

The Real Madrid forward had denied wrong doing and never appeared in court.

He was absent at the trial in October and he was also absent at the Tribunal on Wednesday.

FFF president Noel Le Graet had said that the outcome of the trial would not affect Benzema’s place at the French national team.

He was previously suspended from the team over the same case which started in 2015.
