Bill Gates’ Wife Supports Biden’s Running Mate, Kamala

Co-founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Melinda Gates, has lauded the choice of Kamala Harris as running mate to former Vice President, Joe Biden.

Biden is the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the November 3, US presidential poll.

She said her choice was a big development for the nation.

“Representation matters, especially when it makes history.

“Today’s announcement of Kamala Harris as the first Black woman vice-presidential candidate of a major party is a momentous step forward for our country and for all of us”, she posted on Facebook on Tuesday.

Recall that Bill Gates had publicly criticised President Donald Trump’s administration, particularly with regards to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Upon Trump’s withdrawal of the country’s membership from the World Health Organization (WHO), Gates frowned on the move and later made donations in millions to WHO.

But, Trump, in a press briefing at the White House, claimed that Kamala was a wrong choice.

Biden and Trump will be contesting for the US presidential seat come November 3rd , 2020.
