He was said to have held Friday prayers with the troops.

The governor is expected to receive about three thousand civilians who will be transported from IDP camps both in Maiduguri and Monguno on Saturday.

Recall that Zulum’s convoy was ambushed by suspected Boko Haram terrorists last month on his way to Baga to distribute food to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Speaking with journalists after the attack on him, Zulum had accused the military of being responsible for the attack on his convoy in Baga.
