Chukwunweze was said to have alerted neighbours after which the person disappeared, leaving a strange object later found to be an explosive, behind.

The parish priest of Saint James the Greater Catholic Church, Ugbawka, Rev Fr Chikodili Nwoye was also alerted and went to see the object.

Nwoye subsequently informed the DPO of Amagunze Police Division who identified the object to be a bomb.

The Anti-Bomb Squad from the Enugu State Criminal Investigation Department was later invited to detonate the explosive.
