BREAKING: 36 APC State Chairmen Pass Vote Of Confidence In Buni-Led Caretaker Committee

Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have passed a vote of confidence on the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At the ongoing meeting between the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Committee and APC State Chairmen at the Party’s National Secretariat, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, who doubles as APC’s Chairman in Borno State and Chairman, Forum of APC Chairmen in Nigeria moved the unanimous vote of confidence motion which was seconded by Abba Yaro, Chairman of the APC in Benue state.

Dalori said the vote of confidence followed some social media stories allegedly issuing an ultimatum to the APC caretaker committee by a group, which called itself “Concerned All Progressives Congress Members”.

According to him, “This is an unknown group in the APC and I wonder if they are actually ‘concerned’ as their name suggests. The APC Chairman unanimously condemns any attempt to distract efforts of the APC Caretaker Committee from the commendable work they have been doing.

“The APC has recognisable processes though which members can lodge any legitimate grievance(s). Shadowy groups with questionable agenda cannot claim any concern for the party.

“I, Alhaji Bukar Dalori, Chairman Borno State APC and APC Chairmen Forum, hereby move a motion of vote of confidence in the APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee and call for a seconder.”

Earlier,  Buni briefed the state chairmen on the progress so far made on their assignment, from inception, to date.

He noted that the caretaker committee was pleased and proud of what the chairmen had achieved thus far.

He said: “We are pleased and proud of what they have achieved so far and have assured the committee of the support of the entire APC membership across the country. The Party is getting more united, with more people joining and last weekend success in Ondo State is a reflection of its successes.

“Equally, the plans for the new membership registration, in accordance with section 9.4 of our party constitution, which provides that a register of members shall be compiled and maintained at the ward level has met with the approval of party members across the country.”
