BREAKING: Buhari In Closed Door Meeting With Service Chiefs

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, is currently having a closed-door meeting with Service Chiefs and other heads of security agencies at the presidential villa, Abuja.

The meeting started about 11 a.m. and its agenda as usual was not made public.

But it was learnt that their discussion would likely dwell on the security situation in the country and how to ensure maximum security during Saturday’s governorship and State House of Assembly elections across the country.

All the Service Chiefs; Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonishakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete Ibas, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar, were present.

Also present at the meeting include the National Security Adviser, Major Gen. Babagana Monguno, Director of National Intelligence Agency, the Director General, Department of Security Service and Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu.

The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazzau and the Minister of Defence, Brigadier Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali are also part of the ongoing meeting.

It will be recalled that this is the second time in less than a month the president is meeting with the Service Chiefs. The president had on february 19 met with the security heads at the State House, Abuja.
