Buhari Will Be Removed Like Jonathan On Saturday, Atiku Declares

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said history will repeat itself this Saturday when President Muhammadu Buhari will be sacked from office the way his predecessor, former president Goodluck Jonathan, was unseated in the 2015 presidential elections.

Atiku, who stated this in a short live broadcast he delivered on his verified Twitter and Facebook accounts, said Nigerians have the opportunity to decide their future and that of nation in the rescheduled February 23 election.

The PDP presidential candidate charged the citizens to use the power in their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) to decide whether to maintain the status quo in the next four years or demand a better Nigeria in the next administration.

“My dear citizens of Nigeria, as you know this Saturday we have our presidential and National Assembly election,” he said.

“The reason we have elections is to allow us to have our voices heard on how we have been governed for last four years and who will govern us for the next four years.

“On March 28, 2015, we the people of Nigeria went to our polling units armed only with our PVCs (Permanent Voter’s Cards) and yet we were able to remove an incumbent President from office. That made me very proud to be a Nigerian and very proud to be a democrat

“This Saturday, we will have the opportunity to do so again. My message to you is simple: Please come out and vote as this election is about your future and the future of our great nation.

“On Election Day, we’re all equal, as no single vote is more important than any other. But if you do not vote, you are accepting that the next four years will be like the last.

“The power to get Nigeria working again is in your Permanent Voter’s Cards. I will be voting with mine on Saturday and i call on you to please join me irrespective of who you wish to vote for.

“God bless you, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the former Vice President said.
