Though it did not disclose the nationality of the affected person, it said the patient had been quarantined.

Daily mail UK reports that Egypt is believed to be the 28th country to record a case of the killer virus and it is the first in Africa.

More than 64,000 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed around the world and over a thousand people have died from the diseases.

The SARs-like virus is said to be transmitted between humans and from animals to humans.
