BREAKING: Court Grants Ex-FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed N500m Bail

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Mohammed bail to the tune of N500m.

Justice Abubakar Talba of FCT High Court who granted the bail ordered that he produce two sureties in like sum.

He ordered that one of the sureties must be a Senator while the other must be a Director in Federal Civil Service, and both sureties must have landed properties in the FCT.

Justice Talba also ordered Mr. Mohammed to deposit his international passport with the registrar of the high court.

Recall that Mohammed was on Wednesday remanded in the Kuje Maximum Prison over allegations of fraud and corruption to the tune of N864m.
