BREAKING: #EndSARS: U. S. Condemns ‘Forces Firing’ At Unarmed Protestors In Lagos, Demands Prosecution Of Culprits

The President of the United States Donald Trump has condemned the military attack on EndSARS peaceful protesters, particularly in Lagos.

This was disclosed in a tweet by the US Department of States Secretary, Mike Pompeo.

Pompeo also urged the federal government to bring the culprits to book.

Also, US Government condoled with the families of the bereaved.

“The United States strongly condemns incidents of military forces firing on unarmed protestors in Lagos. Those involved should be held to account under the law. We extend our condolences to the victims of the violence and their families. #EndSARS,” he tweeted on Thursday.

He also urged protesters to remain peaceful and law abiding.

“The right to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression are essential human rights and core democratic principles.  We call on the security services to show maximum restraint and respect fundamental rights and for demonstrators to remain peaceful,” he added.
