BREAKING: Fani-Kayode Contradicts Yahaya Bello, Says ‘I’ve Not Left PDP’

Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has denied reports of his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fani-Kayode’s reaction came hours after a trending social media video showed Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, confirming his defection to the APC.

“Our brother and friend, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has joined our party in good faith. He is joining our party to come and add his own positive energy and make contribution into ensuring that APC is a party to beat,” Governor Bello had said.

But responding in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode said, “Though we have had meetings across party lines and we are in a season of political consultation I have not left the PDP.”

Rumours of the former minister’s defection to the APC started after photos of his meeting with the National Caretaker Chairman of the APC, Mai Mala Buni and Governor Bello went viral on social media.
