BREAKING: FG, Labour Meet Over Planned Strike

The Federal Government is currently holding a meeting with the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other stakeholders.

The agenda of the meeting is the planned nationwide 7-day warning strike expected to commence Thursday.

The NLC had queried the government’s refusal to review the National Minimum Wage from the current N18,000 minimum wage to N56,000.

The NLC General Secretary, Peter Ozo-Eson therefore, ordered the commencement of the strike, adding that “the nationwide warning strike will remain in force until further directives are conveyed.”
