UPDATED: Joe Biden, Harris Sworn-In As U.S. 46th President, Vice President

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have been sworn-in as the 46th President and Vice President of the United States.

They were sworn-in at the inauguration ceremony at the U.S. Capitol.

The Chief justice of the US Supreme Court ,John Roberts, administered the oath to Biden on Wednesday.

The inauguration was witnessed by the country’s former presidents, vice presidents, their spouses and families.

Giving his inaugural address, Biden promised to be  president for “all Americans” and asked citizens to support his administration.

He assured the international community that his country would partner with them again and set the pace in global leadership.

Also, he condoled with those who lost their lives due to the coronavirus.

“Folks, this is a time of testing, we face an attack on democracy and on truth, a raging virus, stain of systemic racism…it’s time for boldness for there is so much to do.

” I promise you that we will be judged by how we resolve this crisis of our era, we will rise to this occasion, we will master this difficult hour,” he added.
