Breaking: Kidnap Kingpin, Evans Asks Court To Grant Him Bail

Alleged kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike has filed an application seeking to be released on bail.

Onwuamadike, also known as Evans also prayed that his case be given an accelerated hearing.

Evans, who is being arraigned before Justice Hakeem Oshodi of the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, is undergoing trial for alleged murder and illegal possession of firearms.

He was brought into the court today by heavily armed security personnel.

Speaking on his bail application, accelerated hearing and an application to quash the charges, the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, Ms. Titilayo Shitta-Bay, said the requests were conflicting, confusing and an abuse of court processes.
