Aruwan stated that their bodies were found in Kwanan Bature village, a location close to the university, and their bodies, subsequently been evacuated to the mortuary by the Force Commander, Operation Thunder Strike, Lieutenant Colonel MH Abdullahi.

Recall that the private university at Kasarami village off Kaduna-Abuja Road in Chikun Local Government Area of the state was reportedly attacked at the early hours of Tuesday, and an unspecified number of students were kidnapped.

One of the staffs was later found dead by troops of the Operation Thunder Strike latter on that day, a statement by Aruwan had disclosed.

The attack came barely 24 hours after the State Governor Nasir El-Rufai said the only way to clamp out bandits in Nigeria, especially in the north, was to bomb the suspected bandits in their various hideouts in the forests.

However, while reacting to the deaths of the three students, El-Rufia described the development as sheer wickedness, inhuman and an outright desecration of human lives by vile entities.

The governor noted that the armed bandits represent the worst of humankind and must be fought at all cost for the violent wickedness they represent.

Aruwan said, “Evil, the Governor further said, would not triumph over God-given humanity.

“He appealed to citizens to come together against the forces of darkness challenging national security and the very existence of the Nigerian State.

“El-Rufia further sent deep condolences and empathy to the students’ families and the university community, as he prayed for the repose of their souls.”
