Breaking: Lagos Commissioner,Abayomi Confirmed Positive For COVID19
The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, has been confirmed positive for coronavirus.
This was disclosed by the ministry of health in a tweet on Monday morning.

According to the ministry, he tested positive after close contact with persons feeling unwell as a result of the COVID19 infection.
The ministry added that ”he became aware of his status following the required testing protocol of contact tracing procedures. However, he is doing well with no symptoms.”
In line with the covid-19 protocol the commissioner will be isolating in his home for the next 14 days.
The ministry however said Abayomi will continue to discharge his duties both as the Deputy Incident Commander of the COVID19 Lagos Incident Command System and as the Commissioner for Health.
