Nassarawa United Player Slumps, Dies

A Nassarawa United player, Chieme Martins, who slumped during Sunday’s match with Katsina United is believed to have died.

The player slumped after a collision with a Katsina United Player this afternoon.

Efforts to revive him by the medical team failed and was believed to have died before he could be taken to the hospital.

Nassarawa United are winning 3-0 with a superb heart trick from Chinedu Ohanacho when the sad event occured.

The management of the club are yet to issue a statement but an official of the club who did not want to be mentioned confirmed the incident to THE WHISTLER .
