Nigeria Deports 36 Indians, 2 Koreans

The Federal Government of Nigeria, on Tuesday, ordered the immediate repatriation of 36 Indians and two citizens of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The government is deporting the Indians for possessing counterfeit visas and immigration stamps while the Koreans were booked for deportation for not renewing their stay after their contract with the Government of Zamfara state expired.

The development was announced in a deportation order signed by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, according to the Ministery’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Bello Umar.

According to Dambazau, the deportation of the foreign nationals is in line with section 45(2, 3 and 4) of the Nigeria Immigration Act 2015.

The Indian nationals who have been booked for deportation were named as: Mr. Sajji, Mrs. Sajji Arvini, Mrs. Sunil Babujumma, Mrs. Meemi, Mr. Papachi, Mr. Deva, Mr. Rajani, Mrs. Kiran Shivachadra, Mr. Shivachadra, Mr. Shakthi, Mr. Prabhukumar, Mr. Rajan, Mr. Shree Kumar, Mr. Jagandeesh, Mrs. Mamathaja, Mrs. Sheela, Mr. Prasad, Mr. Pappa, Ms. Nirveni, Mr. Shambhu Kumar and Mrs. Reshma.

Others are; Mr. Ravi Kumar, Mr. Iraji, Mrs. Jinotha, Mr. Kishore, Mr. Nageena, Mrs. Sheelavathi, Mr. Nentaraju/Santhosh Kumar, Mrs. Sumati, Mr. Krishna Lokesh, Mr. Santhil, Mr. Vasantha, Mr. Seebu, Mr. Vishwanath, Mr. Vishwanth Ramya and Mr. Rajeshwari.

The Korean nationals are: Mr. AN CHUN SIK and Mr. JON SU GYONG
