Shortly before the service ended, Pastor Kola Oyeneye, who preached, said everybody should rise up as a general (Dare) was about to be usher out of the church auditorium.
Oyeneye, whose message was titled ‘ Nothing’ said it was okay to cry and weep but said joy would surely return to the family, the church and the entire Christian body.
He said, ” We as soldiers of Christ, one of us is down but we will regroup and move on.
We lost a general but we didn’t lose our God.”
He said God told him to tell the family of Adeboye that they had come a long way and they should move on.
The casket was driven in a black motorcade as brigade dressed in white uniform marched in front of the hearse which drove the corpse to the final resting place.
