BREAKING: Senate Cancels Planned Resumption Over CJN Onnoghen

The Nigerian Senate has cancelled its planned Tuesday resumption of plenary over President Muhammadu Buhari’s suspension of Justice Walter Onnoghen as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

The Senate said it has instead filed a suit before the Supreme Court to seek legal interpretation of Onnoghen’s suspension by President Buhari.

THE WHISTLER recalls that the upper legislative chamber had announced that it would be reconvening plenary on tomorrow to review the President’s action.
