The Senate would on Wednesday when it resumes plenary consider six letters forwarded to it by President Muhammadu Buhari detailing nominees for confirmation into various positions.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, on Tuesday read during plenary requests by President Buhari seeking the confirmation of nominees as the Auditor General of the federation, the Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, and the confirmation of Service Chiefs as ambassadors.
Other nominees which the President sought Senate confirmation for include commissioners for Nigerian Law Reform Commission, a commissioner to represent Bauchi, Borno and Yobe States in the federal civil service commission, and the appointment of former Service Chiefs as non-career Ambassadors designate.
