‘Bro Ike Stay Where You Are Jeje,’ Shehu Sani Cautions Ekweremadu Against Joining APC

Senator Shehu Sani, the federal lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, has cautioned Deputy Senate President, Dr Ike Ekweremadu, against joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Sani’s caution to Ekweremadu comes against the backdrop of reports that the Deputy Senate President was scheming to defect from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling APC.

Sani, who had just recently dumped the APC for the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), advised Ekweremadu to remain in the PDP if he doesn’t want to experience what others who have left the ruling party experienced.

“Bro Ike, stay where you are jeje, I just dey commot, If you no hear, you go see,” the Kaduna central lawmaker said in a tweet on Thursday evening.

Senator Ekweremadu had been rumoured to be plotting to leave the PDP because he feels cheated by the opposition party.

Although the Deputy Senate President refuted the claim yesterday, reports have continued to emerge that he was making moves to join the APC.

THE WHISTLER had reached out to him via WhatsApp yesterday to verify the authenticity of a photo of him with the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, which appeared to have given credibility to the reports.

He responded thus: “I’ve never taken a picture with Oshiomhole before.”
