Buhar ADC’s In Law Regains Freedom Two Months After Kidnap

The father in law of Col. Mohammed Abubakar, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Musa Umar has regained freedom two months after his abduction by armed kidnappers.

Umar, who is a traditional ruler in Daura, was kidnapped on May 2, 2019, at his home in Buhari’s hometown, Katsina State.

Umar was rescued in the early hours of Tuesday after weeks of searching and tracking by security agents.  

Umar’s release was confirmed by his son, Bashar, on Tuesday.

The traditional ruler holds the title of Magajin Garin Daura. He is a retired Customs Controller and a cousin of the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar. He is married to Hajiya Bilki, a niece to President Muhammadu Buhari, being the daughter of his elder sister, Hajiya Rakiya.
