Buhari Congratulates Fayemi On Winning APC Ekiti Guber Primary
President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Solid Minerals on winning the All Progressives Congress’ primary election in Ekiti State.
Fayemi scored a total 941 votes to win the rescheduled exercise on Saturday.
The minister will carry the party flag in the July 14, 2018 governorship election in Ekiti.
Buhari in a statement on Sunday said the minister’s track records as a reformist will give him the edge at the guber election in 2 months’ time.
The President also enjoined other participants at the poll to join forces with Fayemi for the July 14 election.

2,237 delegates were accrediate for the exercise that took place at the Damlek Multipurpose Hall & Event Centre, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
Segun Oni, a former governor of Ekiti, came in second place with 481 votes.
Others are Kayode Ojo (281), Olufemi Richard Bamisile (179), Oluyede Oluwole (121), and Aluko Daniel Olugbenga (86).
