Buhari Departs Daura Ahead Of Presidential Result Declaration

President Muhammadu Buhari has departed his hometown of Daura in Katsina State ahead of presidential results announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Buhari, alongside his Wife, Aisha, were in Daura over the weekend where they participated in the rescheduled presidential and National Assembly elections.

Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, posted a video of the President’s departure on his verified Twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad.

Meanwhile, INEC has opened the national collation centre at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja where presidential results from collation officers from different states will be collated and subsequently announced.
