Buhari Loses Another Aide To COVID-19

Nigeria has lost another professor to Coronavirus (COVID-19). The deceased, Femi Odekunle, was a member of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC).

The chairman of the presidential task force on COVID-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, announced during Tuesday’s briefing of the panel that a prominent citizen had died as a result of the virus.

“A good friend of this government just passed on at 6:30pm,” Mustapha was quoted to have said supposedly in respect of Odekunle’s death.

Odekunle’s death came several months after President Muhammadu Buhari lost his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, to the virus.

He was said to have died at the Gwagwalada COVID-19 isolation centre in Abuja.

Odekunle joined a growing list of professors, amongst other prominent Nigerians, who have lost their lives to the dreaded virus.
