Led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen, the judges arrived the Presidential Villa about 12:38pm on Friday.

As at the time of their arrival, the president was in a closed door meeting with the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.

Kachikwu’s meeting with the president was not unconnected to allegations of corruption and insubordination he levelled against the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru.

At the meeting with the Judges, President Buhari also called for the establishment of courts in prison yards to speed up decongestion as the logistics of transporting prisoners to court is very high.
