Buhari Re-Appoints Saidu As PPPRA Executive Secretary

President Muhammadu Buhari has renewed the tenure of the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, Abdulkadir Saidu, for another term of four years, THE WHISTLER can authoritatively report.

Saidu was seconded to the PPPRA from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in April 2017.

Just recently, there were uncertainties surrounding the tenure of Saidu, whose four years stay in office had expired on April 19, 2021.

The PPPRA scribe was said to have proceeded on leave a few days to April 19 to avoid confusion in the operations of the agency.

His exit left the General Manager, Corporate Planning, Teddy Okonkwo, to act in his stead.

A Presidency source told THE WHISTLER said that the President gave the approval on Sunday night.

The source said, “The current PPPRA Executive Secretary Abdulkadir Saidu has been reappointed for another four years in office by the President

“The reappointment was made last night and it is expected to put to an end the uncertainties surrounding the appointment of a substantive boss for the PPPRA.

Before now. Buhari had renewed the tenures of Executive Secretaries of Petroleum Equalisation Fund, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board and that of Petroleum Technology Development Fund.
