Buhari Receives First Nigerian Made Cellphone

President Muhammadu Buhari has received the first made-in-Nigeria cellphone on Wednesday.

The phone is known as ITF Mobile.

The phone was presented to the President by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Adeniyi Adebayo, before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to the minister, the phone was one of twelve phones produced using locally sourced materials by the Electrical Electronics Technology Department of the Industrial Training Fund’s (ITF) Model Training Centre.

“Twelve indigenous mobile cell phones produced by the Model Skills Training Centre of the Industrial Training Fund; an agency under Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment was launched.

“It gives me great pleasure Mr President, to present you with one of the phones,” Adebayo said.
