Buhari Replies Atiku, ‘You Are Not Contesting To Be President Of Federal Republic Of Buhari’

President Muhammadu Buhari has faulted the decision of his main challenger in Nigeria’s February election, Atiku Abubakar, that his not debating is not enough reason why Atiku should not.

Atiku, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had arrived the venue only to learn Buhari was not in the hall and left.

“With respect to my fellow candidates, Fela Durotoye, Oby Ezekwesili, Kingsley Moghalu & to moderator Mark Sugar & with apologies to Nigerians here & at home expecting an interesting debate, I regret I will not be able to go on with this debate due to President Buhari’s absence”, Atiku tweeted.

Buhari through his personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad, tweeted; “Because of President Buhari’s absence, haba H.E sir, is the debate only meant for questioning President Bubari? Thought it is for you to tell Nigerians what you have to offer, or are you contesting to be the President of the Federal Republic of Buhari?”

    What a shame
PMB can not tell Nigerians why he fails to attend the long awaited debate.only for his
P.A on media to give flimsy excuses. can’t PMB reschedule his campaign?
Just as he prefers cow to human so he chooses a state over the nation.

To me, Atiku is at lost because we have been having series of debates and interviews of President Buhari of which we are not going to expect a new thing from him.
The debate was organized not only for the two aspirants to say he could have not have a co-debator to discuss with.
Atiku’s action has proved that his intention to contest in the forthcoming general elections is not for the interest of the country and the people but to frustrate President Buhari. And that is not good for the generality of the nation nor himself, Atiku.
    Bad market for him.

Buhari simply is failure that’s just it. He is afraid to disgrace himself once more

Your Comment I think Atiku has lost the 2019 election with the kind of show and comment he made yesterday. there’s no difference between him and PMB. it’s just ridiculous for pot to call kettle black. The presidential debate was a platform for him to the Nigerians people his plans not ATTACK

  • jide johnson

But why? Confusion everywhere in Nigeria. I think the debate has been announced more t
before now, if truly we respect this great nation people involved should at lease honour the invitation.
Saying or telling Nigerians what you want to do for another four years does nt require big grammar. May God have mercy upon us and Nigeria at large.
    God bless Nigeria!

Buhari is very very stupid for making this statement… Dumbass

This is the time we need to Open our eyes wide and never allow Old people to rule over us. Are we not tired of the Era of Old rulers?. They have Nothing to offer us, no fresh idea, no plan for Nigeria. They only want to Compete with each other that was the reason for their Absence. Please, “Wisdom is the Principal thing”. Let’s be Wise!!

If Buhari is affraid to tell us his achievements, does that stop Atiku to tell Nigerians what he has for them? Those of you calling Buhari names should ask Atiku why Nigeria remain the same after his party ruled for sixteen years and he was vice president for eight years. My appeal is that you people should think deeply before condemning Buhari

Atiku did show up at the venue, for him to left bcos PMB is not present is a shame. Was he invited to a physical contact. He is invited to answer Nigerians not stand as moderator to question PMB.

  • MB Bash.

Atiku has missed a golden opportunity to sell him self to Nigerians because of share arrogance and lack of respect for the other presidential aspirant present at the venue and to Nigerians as a whole. its unfortunate that this is the type of person some people are selling for this country. After failing Nigerians for 16 years without apology, yet u want to come back again to destroy the good foundation set out by pmbs govt. we no to corruption and ineptitude. we say yes to next level
