Buhari Sacks Heads Of Education Agencies, Appoints Replacements

A statement issued by the ministry on Monday said the appointment was with immediate effect.

Some of the affected agencies include the National Universities Commission, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, the Universal Basic Education Commission, the National Library of Nigeria, the National Examinations Council and the Nomadic Education Commission, among others.

The 17 new Chief Executives are;

Ø Nigerian Institute for Education Planning and Administration – Pro, Mrs. Lilian Salami

Ø Universal Basic Education – Dr. Hameed Bobboyi

Ø National Library of Nigeria – Prof Lanre Aina

Ø National Examinations Council – Prof Charles Uwakwe

Ø National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult, and Non-Formal Education – Prof Abba Aladu

Ø Nomadic Education Commission – Prof Bashir Usman

Ø National Business and technical Examinations Board – Prof Isioma Isiugo-Abanihe

Ø Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria – Prof Sunday Josiah Ajiboye

Ø Computer Registration Council of Nigeria – Afolabi aderinto

Ø National Commission for Colleges of Education – Prof Bappah Aliyu

Ø Tertiary Education Trust Fund – Dr. Abdullahi Bichi Baffa

Ø National Teachers Institute – Prof Garba Dahuwa Azare

Ø Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria – Prof Michael Afolabi

Ø National Mathematical Centre – Prof Steven Ejugwu Onah

Ø Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB – Prof Ishaq Oloyede

Ø National Institute of Nigerian Languages – Prof Chinyere Ohiri-Aniche
