Buhari Smuggled Out of London Hotel Over Biafra Protestors

The protestors had laid siege on the premises when they learnt Buhari was going to be there.

The angry Nigerians who referred to themselves as Biafrans blocked Buhari from entry into the Kensington Close Hotel where he was billed to address the Nigeria Community in the United Kingdom.

It took the intervention of the metropolitan police to allow him passage after persuading the agitated ‘Biafrans’ to calm down.

The move disorganised and affected Buhari’s program as he could only spend about ten minutes in the supposedly town hall meeting.

While the ‘Biafrans’ waited outside the hotel entrance for Buhari’s exit, his aides pleaded with the metropolitan police to ask the protestors to leave, a request the police rebuffed, telling the aides that the protestors have right under British law to stay where they wanted to.

Kanu has being in detention for over four months and was granted bail which was ignored by the Nigerian government before another court ordered that he be remanded in prison custody until his hearing begins.
