Buhari Vows To Honour Agreements Jonathans Administration Signed With China

President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged to honour all signed agreements between Nigeria and China under former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

Buhari who made the pledge on Wednesday in Beijing, China, during a meeting with Mr Li Keqiang, the Premier of the State Council, said the decision is to ensure the speedy completion of outstanding joint projects, including the 4,000 megawatts Mambilla Hydro-Electric Power Project.

A statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, said that Buhari told the Chinese Premier that all the joint power, rail, road and aviation projects would be completed in the shortest possible time.

According to the statement, Buhari was mostly interested in actualizing the Mambilla Power Project because of its huge potential to boost employment and national economic growth.
