Why We Are Building The Next Generation Of Leaders – Obiakoeze

Promoters of The Generation Next Youth Empowerment Summit (TGNYES), have explained that for Nigeria to compete with other nations in the next decade, then the country has to empower the leaders of tomorrow with creative and innovative skills.

The Head, Strategy, Elbativeni Impressions and Consult, Ms. Destiny Obiakoeze, told The WHISTLER in an interview in Abuja, Tuesday, that Nigeria lags behind in leadership and may remain so except the country embraces Information and Communication Technology wholly.

According to the Google accredited trainer, innovation and creativity imparts discipline, focus and commitment which translates to leadership responsibility.

“Today, you will agree with me that most youths in our country see themselves as liability to their parents because they are not economically empowered due to shortages of employment opportunities.

“But with the right investment in ICT, there is no way Nigeria will have this large army of the unemployed with predictable consequences for the nation.

“It is in this regard that we are committed to The Generation Next Youth Empowerment Summit (TGNYES), an initiative of Elbativeni Foundation, a social enterprise arm of Elbativeni Impressions and Consults.”
