Persons seeking to offer media consulting, medical services and other professional services are longer required to submit proficiency certificates to incorporate their businesses at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
The CAC said in a recent statement that the development is in line with the Federal Government’s effort to improve the ease-of-doing business in the country.
Prior to this time, entities seeking to register their business names in professional fields such as surveying, financial management amongst others are required to tender a proficiency certificate at the CAC for assessment.

Announcing the change, however, the CAC said, “Under the new arrangement, members of the public do not have to submit proficiency certificate to the commission for registration of companies, business names and incorporated trustees.”
