Cameroonian President Begins State Visit To Nigeria Today

Cameroonian President, Paul Biya will today, Tuesday, May 3rd begin a two-day state visit to Nigerian counterpart, President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, Mr. Femi Adesina, who confirmed this information in a statement said Biya would be accompanied by his wife, Chantal and some senior Cameroonian government officials.

He is to be received on Tuesday Afternoon, at the Presidential Vila, Abuja by President Buhari.

Both leaders are to discuss issues of common interest, with number one priority expected to be the ongoing bilateral and regional cooperation against the Boko Haram sect and other cross-border crimes.

Adesina also promised to issue a joint communiqué on the visit and the talks between the two presidents and their officials before President Biya’s departure from Abuja on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
