Canadian PM’s Wife Tests Positive For Coronavirus
The Wife of Canadian Prime Minister, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau has tested positive for coronavirus.
This was disclosed in a tweet on Friday, by the Prime Minister’s Communications Director, Cameron Ahmad.
According to the statement in the tweet, the wife of the Prime minister would be isolated for some time while the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau would be put in self isolation for fourteen days.
“She is feeling well, is taking all the recommended precautions and her symptoms remain mild,” according to the statement tweeted.
But the communication director further added that the Prime minister has not shown signs of the Coronavirus infection.
Sophie has also spoken from Isolation, urging the citizens to take preventive measures by obeying the medical guidelines for curbing the covid-19 menace.
Also, Canadian government data showed that there are 138 confirmed cases on covid-19 across the country as at Thursday.
The SARs-like virus which originated from Wuhan China, has infected atleast 125,000 across the globe.
The World Health Organization (WHO) had also said that the novel virus is now a global pandemic.
