Chairman Of Chanchangi Airlines Is Dead

Chairman of Chanchangi Airlines, Amadu Chanchangi is dead, family source has confirmed.

The Taraba-born and Kaduna-based billionaire died in the early hours of Wednesday, along the Kaduna-Abuja express road while being transported to a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory following a protractive illness.

“He will be buried by 2pm today (Wednesday) according to Islamic right at the Bashama road cemetery,” family sources said.

Vice Chairman, senate committee on aviation, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, led sympathizers to pay tribute to the late Chanchangi.

Mr. Na’Allah described him as a man of peace and a shining example of a devout Muslim. 

He prayed to Allah to grant him eternal rest and the family, people of Taraba and Kaduna state, the fortitude to bear the loss.

“His contribution to the development of the Aviation more especially in the North will remain indelible,” Na’Allah said.

Chanchangi, is survived by three wives, 33 children, among them is 39-year-old Hon. Ahmed Rufai Chanchangi, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Kaduna South.
