Champions League: LVG Ecstatic As Man United Cruise Past Club Brugge

The Dutchman while attending to questions regarding his team selection, form of his players and tactics said; “The pressure is high.”

He even suggested that the two-legged tie against Club Brugge would constitute the biggest games since he was appointed the Manchester United manager last year.

After watching his side edge past Club Brugge with a hard earned 3-1 victory at Old Trafford, the Dutch man, also a Champions League winner was full of relief.

Two brilliant goals from new signing Memphis Depay and a late Marouane Fellaini header ensured Manchester United will travel to Belgium next week with a two goal advantage.

Speaking in the aftermath of his side’s victory, the joyous Dutchman said he was satisfied with his team’s victory but stressed the tie was not over.

“It is still a game but, because of that last goal (we can be) more confident,” he said.

“(Fellaini’s goal) makes a difference because 2-1 is a very difficult result. We deserved much more because we created a lot of chances.”

The return leg of the tie will take place on Wednesday 26th August 2015 at the Jan Breydel Stadium, Club Brugge Arena, Belgium.
