China Claims Coronavirus Treatment Effective As Patients Recover
The Chinese health authority has said that some patients infected by the deadly Wuhan Coronavirus are recovering from the virus as nine patients have so far been discharged from the state hospitals.
The Chinese state media showed nine discharged patients who were diagnosed of the novel coronavirus (2019 nCo V) as the Chinese authorities allege, they are ‘cured’.

A doctor at Pingxiang N0. 2 Hospital, Ou Shuqiang said they asked the convalescents to rest at home and contact doctors as soon as they notice changes.
Speaking on a discharged patient whose identity was not disclosed by the state media, the doctor said: “We still asked him to rest at home and contact our doctors immediately if his condition changes.
“We have suggested him to review his case after two weeks.
“His recovery shows that our country’s diagnosis and treatment procedures to the novel coronavirus are effective.”

Similarly, Director of Universiti Malaya Tropical Infectious Diseases Research and Education Centre (TIDREC), Sazaly Abu Bakar said people affected by the 2019-nCoV, or Wuhan coronavirus, will recover from the disease, adding that the virus has a Case Fatality Ratio (CFR) of just 3%, thus giving patients a high chance of recovery.
In a separate development, the World Health Organisation (WHO) in its twitter announced on Tuesday that only 2,798 confirmed cases of the infection has been reported to the body as 98% are in China, while 36 out of 37 cases outside china had a travel history to Wuhan province in China.
