Chinese Embassy Officials Arrive Beijing From US Amidst Diplomatic Row

China’s Foreign Ministry, on Monday, stated that “the entire staff of the Chinese Consulate General in Houston just arrived in Beijing on a charter flight.”

THE WHISTLER had earlier reported that the Chinese Government in July, in retaliation for the shutting down of their diplomatic mission by the United States Government, similarly unlocked and occupied the United States Embassy in Chengdu.

The US had accused China of providing a safe haven for criminal hackers who stole its intellectual property.

But China had denied the allegation.

China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Hua Chunying, on Monday, also stressed that China would follow the path of dialogue with the US rather than confrontation.

“Some in the #US have been seeking by all means to sabotage #ChinaUSrelations and deliberately disrupting China’s development.

“But we believe dialogue rather than confrontation is what the two peoples want.

“The future of China will be determined by the Chinese people, not anyone else”, she tweeted.

Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, maintained that the Communist Party of China could not be trusted, adding that the US would keep blocking China’s alleged plot to compromise its intellectual property.

“Today, we dealt a direct blow to Huawei and the repressive Chinese Communist Party by further limiting Huawei’s ability to acquire U.S. technology and compromise the integrity of the world’s networks and Americans’ private information,” he tweeted.
