Church President Builds N300 Million 100-Room Hostel For Nigerian State University

A Nigerian Church, Salvation Ministries, Port Harcourt, has completed and donated a 100-room female hostel to the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, a River State-owned university.

This was disclosed on Monday via the official twitter page of the church’s founder, David Ibiyeomie Foundation.

The tweet reads :  “Today, our President @DavidIbiyeomie commissioned and dedicated a 100 room hostel facility built for students at Ignatius Ajuru university of Education, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

“The project was funded and built by God’s servant.

According to the cleric, he spent more than 300 hundred million in building and furnishing the hostel.

In a live Facebook video monitored by THE WHISTLER, the cleric, David Ibiyeomie said that as a church, they had to observe its environment and make contributions that will lead to the betterment of the society.

“We must not wait for people to appeal to us when we know what we need.

“Life is about contribution. If you are contributing nothing, it means you are merely existing. I strongly believe that no one should leave this earth without an impact,” he mentioned.

He stressed that education determines a nation’s greatness.

“Every advanced nation on earth refers back to its education.

“And education happens to be the greatest factor for changing any society,” he added.

He pledged to keep making life better for the society even as God gives them the grace.

“This is our own little way to say we will do more; not just here but wherever we find ourselves,” he said.

On her part, IAUE Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, through the Registrar, appreciated the pastor for the kind gesture.

“I want to tell you what others are saying and that is to say thank you Sir.”
